In 2003, while Morrison Ranch resident Seth Wilde was still in college, his father Bill and brother Trevor partnered together to form Wilde Wealth Management Group. Their mission was two-fold: to offer investment and planning advice in a fiduciary capacity, and to offer clients expanded in-house service offerings from fellow independent experts and specialists in the fields of legal, taxes, risk management, family services, real estate and even insurance.
“Inspired, I focused my studies toward planning with the goal of one day joining my family in the business,” said Wilde.
After graduating from Utah Valley University in 2007, Wilde moved back to Arizona and got more of a wild ride than he initially planned during his first years in business as he began his career in financial services in earnest during the most tumultuous market conditions Arizona had almost ever seen.
“This gave me the opportunity to experience the fear a market downturn can cause investors, and in response laid the foundation for my advice-based philosophy focused on capital preservation,” said Wilde, who formally joined Wilde Wealth Management Group in 2007 with an emphasis on designing suitably structured portfolios and crafting detailed financial plans with an emphasis on risk management.
Over the next 10 years, Wilde Wealth Management Group would earn accolades from Forbes, Barron’s, the Arizona Republic and Cetera while the Wilde family focused on bringing attorneys, mortgage specialists, an insurance team and even a Certified Public Accountant on board – and in house – as trusted partners.
“Together, our team is able to not only take all the pieces of a client’s financial puzzle and organize them, but use them to build a solid foundation that will serve not just the client, but his or her family for generations to come,” said Wilde, who along the way married his college sweetheart and became a dad to five young children, including his two youngest, who are twin girls.
Today, Wilde works from the firm’s Tempe office and recently moved to Morrison Ranch with his family. While growing his own family unit, he has helped Wilde Wealth Management Group grow to more than $750 million in assets under management and four offices statewide.
A lifelong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America – not to mention a past Eagle Award recipient, which is the highest honor in Boy Scouting nationwide – Wilde is as proud of the firm’s work to help those in need as he is in their work with clients and businesses across the Southwest.
“Through our Wilde for Arizona Community Outreach Program, the firm empowers our entire team to be active members of the communities where they – and we – all live, work and play,” said Wilde. “From sponsoring local sports teams to organizing fundraising events for nonprofits to simply donating to causes near and dear to their hearts, we want to make a difference in the lives of people across Arizona in every way it can.”
Within Morrison Ranch, Wilde stepped up during Halloween to help sponsor the community pumpkin patch. On a grander scale, he helped the firm to raise $8,300 as well as 400 toys for Toys for Tots in December, impacting 1,000 local children over the holiday season. The firm also works as volunteers with the local food bank and Sunshine Acres in the Southeast Valley, a nonprofit that provides shelter and care for more than 100 Valley children in need at any given time.
“I want to be an example to my kids Jackson, Grayson, Charlie, Marley and Blake as my father and family have been to me, in business and within this community we call home,” said Wilde.
