Douglas W. Cole is a true veteran of the financial services industry. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in University Studies from Brigham Young University in 1977 and his master’s degree in International Management from the acclaimed Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1978. After more than four years as a commodities trader for the Pillsbury Company, Doug earned his Series 7 securities registration in 1982 and started his career in wealth management.
For more than 30 years, Doug served as a Managing Partner, Director of Investment Strategies and Chief Investment Officer for highly regarded wealth management firms across Arizona, becoming one of the most well-respected advisors in the region.
Doug joined Wilde Wealth Management as Director of Investment Management in 2014 and now is the firm’s Chief Investment Officer. For his individual clients he offers a personal approach to wealth management. His deliberate yet dynamic process starts by meeting in-person with each client to assess and organize their current financial and life situation. With a clear picture of the foundation that has already been created, Doug advises each of his clients on how to best set short- and long-term goals and works to build a road map, or framework, to help reach each one.
Doug applies the same deliberate and dynamic process as he heads the Investment Team that directs Wilde Wealth Management’s strategies for client portfolios.
Doug and his wife, Teri, have lived in the Valley since 1986 and have three adult children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two dogs. He loves spending time with his extended family. In his free time, he is an avid sports fan and especially enjoys following the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals, and BYU Cougars. He and his family are involved in church service and are actively involved with Wilde Wealth Management’s Wilde for Arizona™ Community Outreach Program, which empowers the entire firm to be active volunteers, fundraisers, and community champions.
