Kirtus Brustman, a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), sees his role at Wilde Wealth Management Group as both an educator and advisor to clients.
He grew up on a farm, watching his parents work hard day and night, slowly and methodically building both their business and retirement over several decades. But, when a tax mistake resulted in them losing much of their hard-earned savings nearly overnight, Brustman’s life was forever changed. And, thanks to a professor who saw his passion for finance – due in large part to his desire to help others avoid the undue stress and strife that his parents had to endure –Brustman earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in 2000. And although his degree was in another field, his professor encouraged him to take the necessary tests to earn him an entry-level position in finance.
As a result, over the next decade-plus, Brustman worked for several large investment firms, focused on investment consulting and advisement, before joining Wilde Wealth Management Group in 2012. He is fueled by the idea of helping “other people’s parents” plan for their futures. He focuses on developing a holistic approach to planning for families, meeting their children and bringing them into the discussion, as he wished he was brought in all those years ago with his parents.
Brustman is a certified Fit-To-Retire® coach, which allows him to offer dynamic yet deliberate approach to helping clients make the transition to a successful retirement. Using Fit-To-Retire’s exclusive psychometrically designed Readiness Assessment, Brustman can measure a client’s degree of readiness and enthusiasm in financial and non-financial areas of retirement. He can then create a customized Pre-Retirement Checklist and 100-Day Playbook for the client that help take the anxiety out of all aspects of retirement planning. He is also an Investment Adviser Representative with Cetera Advisors, LLC, holds a securities registration, and an insurance license
Brustman is married with three children – including a set of twins – and is very involved with Wilde Wealth Management’s Wilde for Arizona™ Community Outreach Program, which empowers the entire firm to be active volunteers, fundraisers and neighborhood champions, as well as with his church.
